This post has been taking up space in my brain for This post has been taking up space in my brain for a while! I started reading Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s stone in middle school and I finished the series in college. I think this fictional series is one of the best ever written, and I am not sure that anything will top J.K. Rowling’s masterpiece in my lifetime. While visiting Edinburgh, where some portions of the books were written, I did a self-guided Harry Potter walking tour. While there were some stand out locations, I watched the movies again on my way home and I belive there were so many hidden elements around Edinburgh and Scotland that inspired the books and films (I suppose only J.K. Rowling can confirm)! I was amazed by how she wove pieces of her surroundings into the world she created. For all my Harry Potter fans, here is your Edinburgh/Scotland scavenger hunt: 1.
